A fourth floating LNG terminal operated by DET is currently being developed in Stade. At the heart of the terminal will be the FSRU Energos Force. This specialized vessel will receive liquefied natural gas (LNG) from LNG carriers, regasify it on board, and feed it into the German gas grid—making a significant contribution to Germany’s secure energy supply. The terminal is located at a dedicated energy berth constructed specifically for this purpose in the port of Stade‑Bützfleth. The site has been designed to meet the requirements of a safe, flexible, and high‑performance energy infrastructure. DET is currently working intensively with its internationally experienced service providers to complete the loading infrastructure. The regasification vessel is then scheduled to return in September.

The Terminal Stade

With 174,000 cubic meters, the Energos Force has the largest tank capacity of our four FSRUs. The terminal is connected to the natural gas transmission network via a pipeline and, as things stand, has a feed-in capacity of up to 1.7 billion cubic meters through the end of 2026. The terminal is currently under construction and is expected to become operational in 2026.
