Planned Short-Term Shutdown at Wilhelmshaven Terminal 2 from 15 to 22 July

Wilhelmshaven LNG Terminal 2 will undergo a scheduled shutdown from 15 to 22 July to allow for essential maintenance work.
In addition to several minor maintenance activities, a key focus of the work will be the repeated cleaning of the FSRU’s seawater intake systems. This is necessary to ensure the reliable operation of the facility and to prevent potential disruptions. The background to this measure is the planned transition from the ultrasonic system currently used to protect the onboard seawater systems against biofouling to the proven standard method of electrochlorination.
The approval process for implementing electrochlorination on board the FSRU is currently underway. DET will provide further updates on the progress of this transition.
